ABOUT PIZZA POPS
Pizza Pops is a calzone-type snack and is Canada’s #1 selling pizza pocket. With their ongoing brand hashtag #WeirdGood, they take pride in their weirdness and what sets them apart from the rest: they are not round or flat like most other pies. They prefer people who are a bit on the weird side, who do things that others don’t get and who are unique. They’ve been able to build brand loyalty from an audience that fits those values, largely being teenagers and gamers.
WORK
For the second year in a row, Pizza Pops challenged their gamer "dudes” to participate in weekly challenges for a grand prize of an Xbox Series S and sick Pizza Pops merch.
As the senior designer on the team, I was tasked to create a visual identity for the Pop Off With Pizza Pops campaign that ran for over a month. From Instagram Stories to Reels to a Twitch livestream, every execution had a consistent look and tone of voice. The campaign was a success and garnered many submissions from Pizza Pops’ community.
